Governor and Chief Ministers Extend Women’s Day Wishes in Telugu States

Andhra Pradesh Governor S. Abdul Nazeer and the Chief Ministers of Telugu states marked International Women’s Day by sending greetings to women. Governor Nazeer praised women for their historical contributions to the nation’s progress and emphasized the importance of celebrating women’s achievements in various fields. Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu also conveyed his best wishes to women and mothers in Telugu households, highlighting ongoing empowerment initiatives such as promoting women entrepreneurs and ensuring their rights and safety.

The women’s empowerment movement in Andhra Pradesh includes programs like “Talliki Vandanam” and free bus travel under “Stree Shakti,” aimed at transforming women into entrepreneurs. Chief Minister Naidu mentioned initiatives like the free gas cylinder scheme and widow pension to support women’s economic independence. The government’s focus on women’s health security is evident through collaborations for free vaccine programs and various initiatives ensuring women’s advancement, safety, dignity, and freedom.

Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy expressed admiration for women’s strength, patience, love, and sacrifices, emphasizing the significance of women in society. He reiterated the state government’s commitment to implementing welfare and development programs for women’s empowerment. The leaders collectively urged for continued support and partnership to achieve further success in women’s empowerment on the occasion of Women’s Day.
