Gujarat and Haryana Legislative Assemblies Hold Joint Meeting on Democratic Traditions

The Petition Committees of the Gujarat and Haryana Legislative Assemblies convened a joint meeting in Gandhinagar, focusing on democratic traditions and mechanisms for addressing public grievances. Members from both states gathered to share experiences and enhance legislative processes. Deputy Speaker of the Gujarat Legislative Assembly, Purnesh Modi, highlighted the rich cultural heritage and democratic values of both states.

The meeting aimed to strengthen parliamentary procedures and transparency in addressing public issues. Purnesh Modi emphasized the vital role of the Petition Committee in amplifying citizens’ voices and resolving grievances effectively. Haryana Petition Committee Chairman Vinod Bhayana underscored the importance of inter-state collaboration in enhancing the parliamentary system.

Participants emphasized the need to foster closer ties between Gujarat and Haryana under the ‘Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat’ initiative. They recognized the unique strengths of each state, with Haryana excelling in sports and valor, while Gujarat is renowned for its business acumen and cultural diversity. The meeting attendees included members from both Petition Committees and officials from the legislative assemblies.
