Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel extended congratulations to Himanta Biswa Sarma for being sworn in as the Chief Minister of Assam for a second consecutive term. Patel praised the BJP’s “double-engine government” and expressed optimism about accelerating Assam’s development under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s guidance.
Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi also lauded Sarma’s leadership, hailing it as instrumental in ushering in a “new era of growth and confidence” in Assam. Sanghavi commended Sarma for his visionary leadership that has been driving progress and empowerment across various sectors in the state.
Sarma, who assumed office in 2021, returned as the Assam Chief Minister after being unanimously elected as the leader of the BJP-led NDA legislature party following their electoral triumph. The swearing-in ceremony in Guwahati was attended by prominent leaders including Prime Minister Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh.
