Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel visited Uttampura Primary School in Dantiwada, Banaskantha district, as part of his district tour for the Ambaji Corridor project’s foundation stone-laying ceremony. This visit was to fulfill a promise made to a Class 1 student, Samya Prajapati, during a video interaction with School Management Committee (SMC) members last year. Patel had promised to meet Samya when she asked during a video conference when he would visit her school.
Before his official program, Chief Minister Patel made time to visit the village school and interact with students and teachers. He engaged with the children, inquired about their studies, the school campus, and the education system. Patel also spent time with the students, presenting roses to Class 10 and 12 students from the village and wishing them success in their upcoming board examinations.
Expressing her joy, Samya Prajapati mentioned that Patel fulfilled her and her school’s dream by visiting. She recited shlokas for the Chief Minister during the visit. Patel encouraged her to study well, aspire to become a collector, and promised to meet her when she grows up. The visit highlighted Patel’s focus on the importance of School Management Committees (SMCs) in enhancing education outcomes.
During a previous video conference, Chief Minister Patel emphasized the crucial role of SMCs in improving school facilities, attendance, academic standards, and providing value-based education aligned with modern educational needs. Forest and Environment Minister Pravin Mali, along with teachers, students, and local leaders, also joined Patel during the school visit.
