Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel inaugurated and laid the foundation for 24 development projects totaling over Rs 707 crore in Amreli district. Out of these, 14 projects worth Rs 681.78 crore were inaugurated, while foundation stones were laid for 10 projects valued at Rs 25.23 crore. Patel, speaking at the Amreli APMC, emphasized the importance of systematic planning and high-quality execution for the district’s development.

Highlighting the district’s progress, CM Patel mentioned the increasing industrial activity in Amreli. He noted that MoUs worth approximately Rs 36,000 crore were signed during a recent summit, and a new industrial estate under the Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation (GIDC) was approved. Patel stressed the need for development to reach even the most remote areas, ensuring that all regions benefit from progress.

The Chief Minister praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi, stating that Gujarat excelled in financial management, ensuring continuous development without funding obstacles. He also outlined proactive measures to address water scarcity, including the “Catch the Rain” campaign and grants for rainwater harvesting. State Energy and Law Minister Kaushik Vekariya announced increased funding for the Amreli riverfront project, reflecting the government’s commitment to the district’s growth.

State BJP President Jagdish Vishwakarma highlighted ongoing development efforts in Gujarat under the Prime Minister’s leadership. He mentioned initiatives like the SAUNI scheme, which addressed water scarcity and irrigation issues in Saurashtra. Vishwakarma also noted the positive impact of schemes like the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, improving the lives of women across the country. Key projects include infrastructure developments like road and building works, a railway over-bridge, educational institutions, sports facilities, and water supply projects.

During the event, e-tricycles were distributed to differently-abled individuals, financial aid was provided to agricultural societies, and beneficiaries of various government schemes were supported. The winners of the 69th National School Games Under-19 handball competition were also honored.
