Educating girls is crucial for societal progress, stated Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel during an interaction with students reintegrated into the education system under the state’s ‘Back to School Mission’. Patel highlighted the dual capability of girls to excel in education and manage household duties effectively.
He urged parents to actively support their children’s education, emphasizing the collective responsibility of ensuring regular schooling for a brighter future. Patel underscored Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of providing education to every child, citing initiatives like Shala Praveshotsav and Kanya Kelavani Mahotsav that raised awareness about education’s significance.
The Chief Minister commended teachers for not only imparting knowledge but also identifying and reintegrating children who had dropped out of school. Patel stressed that education is pivotal for individual, family, and societal development, particularly in helping children from underprivileged backgrounds overcome economic and social obstacles.
During the event, Patel engaged with students who had returned to school, discussing their reasons for leaving, experiences upon re-enrollment, and future aspirations. He encouraged them to attend classes regularly, study diligently, and pursue their ambitions confidently. The ‘Back to School Mission’ aims to bring back children who discontinued their education in recent academic years, with a significant number successfully re-enrolled in Gujarat.
