The Gujarat government distributed Rs 1,349.50 crore to 11,029 beneficiaries from various industrial sectors through a single digital transaction. This initiative, known as the “Single Click Payment Programme,” was executed at the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference in Surat. The event was graced by Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi.
Under this program led by the state’s Industries and Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Department, the aim is to ensure prompt and transparent financial aid delivery to beneficiaries using streamlined technology. An amount of Rs 299.75 crore was disbursed to 7,495 beneficiaries under different MSME schemes, while Rs 538.76 crore was allocated to 3,423 beneficiaries under textile schemes.
Moreover, Rs 510.99 crore was provided to 111 beneficiaries falling under the large industries category. All funds were directly transferred to beneficiaries’ bank accounts through e-payment in a single transaction. Sanghavi emphasized that this program signifies the government’s commitment to simplifying processes and enhancing efficiency in financial aid distribution.
Efforts are being made to enhance the efficiency, simplicity, and technology-driven nature of the process to ensure timely assistance to beneficiaries of various industrial and MSME schemes. These measures are being implemented under Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel’s guidance, focusing on enhancing administrative processes related to industrial support schemes.
The government highlighted that this initiative is part of its comprehensive strategy to boost industrial growth, attract investments, increase production, and create job opportunities in Gujarat. Various incentive schemes are being rolled out to bolster the MSME sector. The VGRC-South Gujarat event is scheduled for May 1 and 2 at AURO University in Surat, concentrating on the state’s industrial progress and infrastructure development.
Accompanying the conference, a Vibrant Gujarat Regional Exhibition will be held from May 1 to 5, featuring a vendor development program and an international reverse buyer-seller meet aimed at facilitating direct interactions between local businesses and foreign buyers. The platform will also facilitate structured dialogues on sector-specific challenges and investment prospects, with the outcomes expected to influence the upcoming Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit.
