The Gujarat government has increased the monthly stipend for Traffic Brigade (TRB) personnel from Rs 300 to Rs 450, bringing joy to the staff responsible for traffic control. This decision by the Home Department has been well-received by the TRB personnel working across the state, who have been managing traffic on city roads.
The announcement of the stipend hike led to celebrations among the TRB personnel in Surat, with distribution of sweets to motorists as a gesture of gratitude. The personnel expressed their appreciation to the government for the pay raise, emphasizing the positive impact it will have on their financial well-being.
TRB Supervisor Mohammed Tinwala praised the government’s decision, calling it a commendable step that has boosted morale within the Traffic Brigade. Geeta Nimbalkar, a TRB personnel with 15 years of service, shared her happiness over the stipend increase, highlighting the recognition of their hard work and dedication by the government.
The Traffic Brigade system, initially launched by the Traffic Education Trust in cities like Surat, Rajkot, and Vadodara, has now been expanded statewide in Gujarat. This move acknowledges the crucial role played by TRB personnel in collaborating with the police to ensure efficient traffic management.
