Gujarat Health Minister Praful Pansheriya has ordered strict action against a junior pharmacist accused of negligence towards patients. Despite having sufficient medicine stock in Gandhinagar, patients reportedly did not receive required medications, prompting an immediate inquiry.
The state government emphasized a zero-tolerance policy towards negligence in patient welfare and healthcare services. Following a preliminary investigation, the junior pharmacist in question, Prashant Shrimali, has been promptly transferred to Kutch. Additionally, a departmental inquiry has been initiated to establish accountability.
Health Department officials highlighted the government’s commitment to upholding accountability and discipline in the public healthcare system. Measures are being enforced to ensure seamless access to medicines and treatment for patients visiting government healthcare facilities without any hindrances.
