Several Indian nationals tragically lost their lives in a road accident in Dubai, as confirmed by the Consulate General of India, Dubai. The consulate officials have been actively assisting the injured Indians in coordination with local authorities to provide necessary support. According to Dubai Police reports, a fatal collision occurred when a minibus struck a truck that had unexpectedly stopped in the middle of the road. Brigadier Juma Salem bin Suwaidan, Director of the General Department of Traffic, revealed that initial investigations suggested the truck halted abruptly due to a technical issue. The bus driver, allegedly failing to maintain a safe distance, rear-ended the truck, resulting in seven fatalities and nine injuries, with some in critical condition.
Authorities dispatched experts to the accident site to conduct a detailed examination and gather evidence to determine the precise causes of the tragic crash. Traffic patrols swiftly managed the situation, ensuring traffic flow, securing the area, and facilitating the arrival of rescue teams. The damaged vehicles were promptly cleared to restore normal traffic operations, with a cautionary message issued by the police emphasizing the risks of stopping on roads due to vehicle malfunctions.
