Political leaders in Gujarat expressed deep sorrow over the tragic death of Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar in a chartered aircraft crash near Baramati. The crash involved a Bombardier Learjet 45 that was flying from Mumbai to Baramati and caught fire upon landing, resulting in no survivors among the five occupants. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has launched an investigation to determine the cause of the crash.
The Gujarat government, during a Cabinet meeting in Gandhinagar, offered condolences for Ajit Pawar’s untimely demise. Gujarat government Spokesperson Jitu Vaghani praised Pawar as a respected leader and assured support to his family. Gujarat and Maharashtra Governor Acharya Devvrat paid tribute to Ajit Pawar at a condolence meeting in Mumbai, highlighting his dedicated service to Maharashtra and expressing condolences to all the victims’ families.
Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel expressed deep sorrow over the incident and termed Ajit Pawar’s death as heart-wrenching. He extended sympathies to the grieving family and supporters, offering prayers for strength during this challenging period. Various political figures including Gujarat Congress President Amit Chavda, Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi, Gujarat AAP President Isudan Gadhvi, and Congress Spokesperson Manish Doshi also mourned Pawar’s loss, emphasizing his significant contributions to public life.
