Gujarat Agriculture and Spokesperson Minister Jitu Vaghani praised the Bharatiya Janata Party’s success in West Bengal as akin to a “second independence.” He emphasized that this victory showcased public endorsement of development under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership.
Minister Vaghani expressed anticipation for Prime Minister Modi’s upcoming visit to Gujarat on May 11, highlighting the significance of his presence at the ‘Somnath Amrit Parv’. He underscored the resilience of the Somnath temple as a symbol of Sanatan Dharma, despite historical challenges.
Reflecting on the historical importance of the Somnath temple, Minister Vaghani mentioned Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s commitment to its reconstruction after witnessing its ruins. He also noted the upcoming commemoration of the temple’s 75-year milestone during the ‘Somnath Amrit Parv’.
Prime Minister Modi’s visit to Somnath will include a roadshow from Triveni Helipad to the statue of Veer Hamirji Gohil, featuring cultural performances and traditional welcomes. The itinerary comprises temple rituals, an air show, and a public address at Sadbhavana Ground.
