The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 champions, Gujarat Titans (GT), are gearing up for the 2026 season with their upcoming preparation camp starting on February 16. The franchise’s Chief Operating Officer, Colonel Arvinder Singh, highlighted the initiative’s focus on promoting physical activity among children under 14 through non-competitive sessions and interactive games in cities like Surendranagar, Morbi, Amreli, Anand, and Ahmedabad.
Singh emphasized that the success of the program is gauged by its impact on motivating children to embrace sports rather than just numbers. He underlined the importance of creating opportunities for children to engage in sports beyond cricket, aiming to instill a love for physical activity among the youth.
The credibility of the Gujarat Titans franchise has played a significant role in attracting participation, especially in smaller cities where children have limited exposure to professional sports organizations. Singh noted that the franchise’s reputation has helped in motivating children to actively participate in sporting activities and develop a passion for sports.
With the motto ‘Let’s Sport Out!’ and a strong emphasis on fostering confidence and teamwork through sports, Singh highlighted that the franchise maintains consistent standards in organizing events across cities of varying sizes and infrastructures. He stressed that the franchise’s approach remains uniform, ensuring that all children, regardless of the city they reside in, receive equal opportunities to engage in sports activities.
Singh concluded by expressing satisfaction with the positive response from children in smaller cities, acknowledging the disparity in access to quality sporting facilities between smaller and larger urban centers. He highlighted the franchise’s commitment to providing equal opportunities for children in all cities, emphasizing the importance of promoting sports and physical activity among the youth.
