A group of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) beneficiaries in Surat, Gujarat, expressed happiness over the 12-year tenure of the Modi government and hoped for its continuity. They credited the government for the positive changes in their lives and families since 2014. Residents in Surat’s City Light area shared their stories, highlighting the impact of schemes like PMAY in improving their living conditions.

Shiv Prasad Mishra, a long-time Surat resident, mentioned the transformation in his life after receiving assistance under PMAY, now living in a permanent house for the past five years. He praised the government for the improved infrastructure and direct benefit transfers that have reduced corruption. Hansaben Rajubhai Rathod, another beneficiary, emotionally recalled the struggles of living in a dilapidated house before PMAY funds helped them build a secure home.

The beneficiaries expressed their gratitude towards the Prime Minister for the government’s support to the poor. Hansaben acknowledged the significant work done for the underprivileged, while Shiv Prasad extended his congratulations and hoped for the Prime Minister’s continued service for the welfare and progress of the poor.
