As educational opportunities grow in Gujarat’s tribal areas, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel highlighted the increasing access to professional courses for students from remote regions. During the ‘Shala Praveshotsav’ event in Dahod district, over 300 children were enrolled in schools, emphasizing the transformative impact of initiatives like the School Enrolment Festival initiated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Patel emphasized the significant progress in fulfilling the educational aspirations of tribal communities, with past enrolment drive participants now excelling as doctors, engineers, and pilots. The state government’s focus on modern educational infrastructure and quality education in rural areas has equipped schools with advanced facilities like smart classrooms and science laboratories, enabling students to engage with contemporary learning methods.
Efforts to reduce dropouts and reconnect children with the education system were highlighted, with special initiatives aimed at addressing challenges faced by students who had left school. Patel urged parents to actively participate in their children’s education, emphasizing the role of families in shaping their futures. Additionally, he noted the increased availability of science, engineering, and medical education opportunities in tribal areas, supported by government schemes like enhanced scholarship eligibility criteria and financial assistance programs.
