Gulbarga Mystics triumphed over Hubli Tigers in a dominant seven-wicket win during the Maharaja Trophy KSCA T20 Tournament, moving up to third place in the rankings as the Mysuru leg of the competition concluded.
Hubli Tigers faced challenges in their innings, struggling to build momentum and finishing at 119 for nine in 20 overs, with their highest partnership coming from the final wicket pair of Shikhar Shetty and Vaibhav Sharma.
Despite early setbacks, Gulbarga Mystics successfully chased down the target of 120 runs, with Thippa Reddy and Macneil Noronha’s unbeaten partnership guiding them to victory in just 13.2 overs with seven wickets in hand.
Bengaluru Blasters lead the table with six points, followed by Coastal Kings Mangaluru in second place, while Gulbarga Mystics climbed to third position with their second win in the tournament.
Coastal Kings Mangaluru also secured a six-wicket win over Mysore Warriors, with Karun Nair and Shreyas Gopal’s partnership playing a crucial role in the victory.
The tournament will now move to Hubballi for the next phase of matches, set to resume on Saturday.
