The iconic band Guns N’ Roses is making a comeback to India after a year, with scheduled performances in Bengaluru on November 14, 2026, and in Guwahati on November 17, 2026. Last year, the band rocked Mumbai on May 17, 2025, at the Mahalaxmi Racecourse, marking their return to the country after a hiatus of over 12 years.
In their previous visit to India in December 2012, Guns N’ Roses, led by Axl Rose, showcased the “Chinese Democracy” era lineup rather than the classic one with Slash. The concerts featured popular hits like Sweet Child O’ Mine, November Rain, Paradise City, and Welcome to the Jungle.
Formed in Los Angeles, California, in 1985, Guns N’ Roses emerged from the merger of local bands L.A. Guns and Hollywood Rose. The band’s original lineup included Axl Rose, Slash, Duff McKagan, Izzy Stradlin, and Steven Adler. Their debut album, Appetite for Destruction, released in 1987, became a massive success with chart-topping tracks such as Sweet Child o’ Mine, Welcome to the Jungle, and Paradise City.
Guns N’ Roses’ musical journey continued with the release of the albums Use Your Illusion I and Use Your Illusion II in 1991, followed by the much-anticipated Chinese Democracy in 2008. The band’s significant contributions led to their induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2012, coinciding with their performance in India.
