Rashtriya Loktantrik Party (RLP) MP Hanuman Beniwal strongly criticized the alleged sexual assault of a 13-year-old girl in Sri Ganganagar, advocating for a law that would permit public hangings of those convicted of such crimes. Beniwal expressed dismay over the incident, questioning the law and order situation under the leadership of Bhajan Lal Sharma in Rajasthan.
Beniwal, the National Convener of RLP, took to social media to denounce the Rajasthan government for its handling of the case, highlighting the failure of local authorities to detect the crime despite the victim being held captive and abused for days. He emphasized the need for accountability and swift action against all responsible parties, including officials who may have neglected their duties.
The RLP leader stressed that mere arrest of the main accused was insufficient and called for comprehensive action against anyone involved in shielding the perpetrator. Beniwal urged the government to ensure the victim’s medical care, rehabilitation, and psychological support, emphasizing the importance of expeditious legal proceedings in a fast-track court for timely justice.
Referring to his past efforts in Parliament, Beniwal reiterated his push for stricter laws against offenders of crimes against children, advocating for legislation that allows the public hanging of those convicted in such cases. The incident has sparked widespread outrage and calls for a thorough investigation and stringent legal measures in Rajasthan.
