Captain Harmanpreet Kaur and Nat Sciver-Brunt’s strong performances helped Mumbai Indians reach 195/4 against Delhi Capitals in the Women’s Premier League match at DY Patil Stadium. Nat’s 70 off 46 balls, supported by Harmanpreet’s unbeaten 74 off 42 balls, propelled MI to a competitive total. Delhi Capitals struggled in their bowling, offering too many scoring opportunities to the MI batters.

DC faced an early setback when Amelia Kerr fell to a loose drive, caught brilliantly by Lizelle Lee off Chinelle Henry. Nat showcased her batting prowess with a flurry of boundaries, including elegant strokes off Marizanne Kapp and Chinelle. Despite some resistance from DC, Nat continued to accelerate, reaching her fifty off 32 balls with a display of precise shot-making.

As the innings progressed, Nat maintained her aggressive approach, punishing the bowlers with well-timed strokes. Harmanpreet joined the run-scoring spree, smashing boundaries and a six to boost MI’s total further. Nicola Carey also contributed with crucial boundaries before falling for 21. Harmanpreet’s explosive finish, including four consecutive boundaries in the final over, capped off MI’s innings impressively.
