A new record was achieved in the Haryana Assembly as all 20 questions scheduled for discussion during Question Hour were addressed within 55 minutes, just five minutes shy of the allotted hour. Assembly Speaker Harvinder Kalyan expressed satisfaction, highlighting that each member received satisfactory answers to their questions. This efficient session exemplified the principle of Antyodaya, ensuring meaningful discussions on all queries.
The Speaker commended the Assembly members and Ministers for their concise contributions, allowing for a smooth and inclusive discussion. Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini informed the Assembly about the state government’s decision to handle expansions in ongoing projects through separate tenders to manage cost escalations effectively. This proactive approach aims to address challenges related to project costs and scope modifications during implementation.
Furthermore, Chief Minister Saini emphasized the importance of avoiding mid-project scope expansions, which often lead to complications and increased costs. The government’s directive mandates that any additional work required during a project’s execution will undergo a distinct tendering process. This strategic decision is expected to streamline project management and budgetary concerns, benefiting overall project efficiency.
In response to queries, Minister of State for Sports Gaurav Gautam revealed plans to enhance the basic infrastructure at the Haryana Sports University in Sonipat district. Additionally, State Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Shyam Singh Rana announced the initiative to upgrade unpaved paths connecting villages in the Narnaund Assembly constituency to improve rural connectivity.
