Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini highlighted the efforts of both Central and state governments in spreading Sikh Gurus’ principles to all segments of society. He mentioned that these initiatives are reinforcing the preservation and promotion of the Guru tradition and the nation’s cultural heritage.
Speaking at the state-level Baisakhi Mahotsav event in Kurukshetra, the Chief Minister extended greetings on the occasion, paying tribute to the revered Gurus on the Khalsa Panth’s foundation day. He was honored with a kirpan and siropa by the Sikh Sangat as a gesture of respect.
During the event, the Chief Minister inaugurated an exhibition showcasing Sikh history and state government achievements. He also launched wrestling competitions for men and women and kicked off an international kite competition. Additionally, he visited the Haryana Heritage Pavilion, which displays the rich Haryanvi culture.
Highlighting the festival’s significance, the Chief Minister described Baisakhi as a symbol of prosperity, labor respect, and harmony with nature. He expressed joy at celebrating the festival in Kurukshetra, known for its association with righteousness and duty, encouraging people to stay connected with nature and rejoice in a fruitful harvest.
