Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini announced the implementation of new initiatives to improve transparency, security, and farmer-friendliness in the procurement system. These measures aim to boost transparency, prevent unauthorized activities, and offer quicker and more convenient services to farmers. Saini oversaw the wheat procurement process at the Babain grain market in Kurukshetra, engaging with farmers on various aspects such as bringing wheat to market, selling crops, and receiving payments.

The Chief Minister honored farmer Dharamchand from Hamidpur for selling wheat in his presence by presenting him with a shawl. He mentioned the introduction of a three-tier crop verification system to ensure the accuracy of crops brought to procurement centers. Saini emphasized the government’s commitment to conducting procurement operations with transparency, accountability, and efficiency, ensuring the purchase of every grain from farmers.

Saini highlighted the comprehensive reforms in the procurement system, including the appointment of nodal officers in each market and senior officers to monitor district markets regularly. Deputy Commissioners have been tasked with overseeing the district-level procurement system, with ministers and MLAs conducting regular visits to markets to ensure smooth operations for farmers.
