Haryana Energy Minister Anil Vij commended Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, noting India’s significant progress under him. When Modi took office, India ranked 14th globally in the economy, but now it stands at third place. The Prime Minister has set a goal to elevate India to a developed nation status by 2047.
Speaking at an event in Ambala Cantonment, Vij emphasized the importance of education, calling it the noblest form of service. Contrasting traditional Gurukul education with modern schooling, he highlighted the role of imparting moral and cultural values in addition to academic knowledge. Vij stressed that educational institutions play a crucial role in shaping well-rounded individuals capable of meeting future challenges.
Acknowledging the pivotal role of educators, Vij underscored the significance of girls’ education as a service to society. He lauded Musaddi Lal Arya Girls High School for its quality education to girls, stating that educating girls is a virtue in itself. The minister also praised the students’ cultural performances at the event.
Describing himself as a “chowkidar,” Vij attributed the government’s development initiatives to the trust and support of the people. He credited the community for enabling extensive development projects in Ambala Cantonment, emphasizing that actions speak louder than words. Vij mentioned the upcoming construction of a national-level Shaheed Smarak in Ambala Cantonment, dedicated to the First War of Independence of 1857, with a potential inauguration by Prime Minister Modi.
