The Haryana Human Rights Commission is resolute in addressing allegations of a young doctor being set on fire in a university room in Hisar. Emphasizing zero tolerance for compromising the due process of justice, the commission is actively involved in the case. A complaint lodged by the deceased’s mother, Gayatri Yadav, detailed the incident, prompting the registration of a first information report (FIR).
Commission member Deep Bhatia has taken serious note of the situation and requested an updated status report. Following this, the case was transferred to the state Crime Branch in Bhondsi, Gurugram. The investigation progressed with interrogations conducted on December 12 and an inspection of the crime scene on January 12.
To ensure transparency and progress in the investigation, the rights commission has summoned the officer in-charge of the Special Investigation Team (SIT) to appear in person on April 6. This directive includes presenting the complete original investigation record along with all relevant documents and material evidence. Commission member Bhatia has underscored the importance of upholding the dignity of human life and ensuring the integrity of the legal process.
