Health Minister JP Nadda introduced digital initiatives like ‘Ayushman Sarathi–PM-JAY WhatsApp Chatbot’ and Drug Registry to enhance service delivery and beneficiary satisfaction. The chatbot allows beneficiaries to access PM-JAY services conveniently through WhatsApp without visiting government offices. Ayushman Sarathi, integrated with PM-JAY systems, offers various beneficiary-centric services, promoting accessibility and transparency.
Ayushman Sarathi aims to provide real-time information and services through WhatsApp, reducing the need for physical visits or call centers. It facilitates eligibility checks, Ayushman Card services, eKYC, Aadhaar linking, and grievance registration for PM-JAY beneficiaries. The initiative focuses on citizen engagement, feedback collection, and improving healthcare service delivery.
The Drug Registry, part of the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission, acts as a unified digital platform for drug-related information in India. Developed in collaboration with CDSCO and NRCeS, it ensures consistent identification and usage of drug data across healthcare systems. Leveraging international standards like SNOMED CT, the registry promotes interoperability and semantic consistency.
Unified Health Interface (UHI) was also launched as part of ABDM, enabling patients and healthcare providers to connect seamlessly across various digital platforms. UHI, a service layer with common technical standards, allows interaction without platform restrictions. It simplifies the process from service discovery to fulfillment, emphasizing a common language for all interactions.
