More than 10 individuals are missing following heavy rainfall in Yongchuan District, Chongqing Municipality, southwest China. The area experienced torrential rains, with Guankouwan and Hanjiagou Village recording significant rainfall amounts. The continuous precipitation has heightened the risk of geological disasters like landslides and debris flows.

Chongqing has initiated a Level-III emergency response for geological disasters in Yongchuan District due to the heavy rainfall. Local authorities are actively engaged in emergency rescue operations to address the situation. In a separate incident, heavy rainfall in Shimen County, Hunan Province, has led to seven fatalities and 14 individuals still unaccounted for.

Search and rescue efforts are ongoing in Shimen County, with additional missing persons identified through investigations. The region has been significantly impacted by the torrential rain, affecting multiple townships and districts. The National Development and Reform Commission has allocated funds to support post-flood recovery in Hunan Province.

Efforts are underway to repair infrastructure and provide essential supplies to affected residents in Shimen County. Severe flooding in parts of Hunan has resulted in casualties and property damage, prompting urgent recovery measures. The continuous heavy rainfall in the region has caused fatalities and missing persons, necessitating swift action by local authorities.
