High Voter Turnout in Peaceful Repolling at Falta Assembly Constituency, West Bengal

In the Falta Assembly constituency of West Bengal’s South 24 Parganas district, a peaceful repolling session saw a significant voter turnout of 20.47% in the initial two hours by 9 a.m. No incidents of violence, tension, or electoral misconduct were reported from any of the 285 polling booths in Falta.
Following the withdrawal of Trinamool Congress candidate Jahangir Khan from the race last week, the party’s polling agents were absent from all booths, and the party’s camp offices were nowhere to be found in the constituency.
While the Trinamool Congress candidate was unreachable, agents from other major political parties like the Bharatiya Janata Party, CPI(M), and Congress were present at all polling booths, along with their respective temporary camp offices as per Election Commission of India guidelines.
