Himachal Pradesh Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla and Chief Minister Sukhvinder Sukhu have wished the people happiness, peace, and prosperity on the 77th Republic Day. Governor Shukla highlighted the importance of the Constitution as the nation’s guiding force, emphasizing that Republic Day strengthens India’s unity and integrity.
The Governor praised Himachal Pradesh’s progress in various sectors, attributing it to the hard work and collective efforts of the state’s people. Chief Minister Sukhu expressed pride in the state’s role model status and urged citizens to contribute to India’s development.
Chief Minister Sukhu reaffirmed the government’s commitment to the welfare and development of the people, aiming to make Himachal Pradesh self-reliant and the most progressive state in the country. He called for active participation from all sections of society to achieve these shared aspirations.
To mark the statehood day, Chief Minister Sukhu announced the formation of an agriculture and horticulture commission to protect farmers’ rights. He also revealed plans to establish the Sub-divisional Magistrate office in Pragpur and the Public Health Centre in Nalsuha, focusing on addressing the state’s financial challenges and ensuring pensioners’ payments.
