A tragic hit-and-run incident in Maheshwar tehsil, Khargone, Madhya Pradesh, resulted in the death of a motorbike rider and left several others seriously injured. The accident, involving a speeding car colliding with pedestrians and the motorbike rider, occurred near Yashraj Colony. The car, driven recklessly, struck four pedestrians and the motorbike rider, leading to one fatality and severe injuries to others.
The victims, including a motorbike rider named A.K. Chand alias Munna Karma, were hit by a car traveling at high speed. The impact of the collision also injured another pedestrian, Kailash, and a person named Shubham, who was riding a bike with his young daughter. The car, after the collision, crashed into a neem tree, causing significant damage.
Following the incident, a video capturing the accident went viral on social media platforms. The driver of the car fled the scene, leaving behind the abandoned vehicle. The injured individuals were promptly taken to Maheshwar Community Hospital in critical condition for medical treatment.
Authorities have initiated a search for the driver who absconded from the scene. The police are actively investigating the abandoned car to gather evidence, including checking for registration details and reviewing possible CCTV footage from nearby locations. An FIR has been lodged against the driver for reckless driving and causing death due to negligence.
