A hoax bomb threat discovered in the lavatory of an IndiGo flight bound for Ahmedabad caused a security scare at Bengaluru’s Kempegowda International Airport. The threat, a handwritten note saying “Don’t go. Bomb Hai! Please,” was found just before take-off on flight 6E-6423. Airport authorities activated safety protocols, but no suspicious items were found after a security check.
IndiGo filed a complaint with the airport police due to the operational disruption caused by the hoax threat. An FIR was registered, and an investigation is underway to identify the person behind the false bomb alert. Another incident last month involving a bomb threat on an IndiGo flight from Lucknow to Delhi led to a similar security response.
In that case, a tissue paper with the word “bomb” was found in the aircraft’s toilet, prompting security measures and grounding the flight. The safety of passengers and crew is a top priority in such situations, with authorities taking necessary precautions to ensure everyone’s well-being.
