A hoax bomb threat call led to a significant security operation at Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport in Lucknow. Security agencies conducted a thorough search of the airport premises following the false alert. The call, made to Dial 112 at 11:45 p.m. on Friday, prompted immediate responses from various agencies.
Teams including the bomb disposal squad, dog squad, CISF, and fire brigade swiftly responded to the reported bomb threat. The entire airport complex, cargo terminal, and entry gates underwent meticulous inspections. Security personnel conducted detailed checks on passengers and baggage as part of precautionary measures between 12 a.m. and 1 a.m.
Despite the extensive hour-long search, no suspicious items or explosives were discovered on the premises. Authorities found the mobile phone used for the threat call to be switched off when they attempted to contact the caller. After confirming the hoax, relief spread among airport officials and security personnel.
