Hockey India has announced a 24-player squad for the upcoming Hobart round of the FIH Men’s Pro League 2025–26. The tournament, scheduled from February 20 to 25 at the Tasmania Hockey Centre, will see India, Spain, and Australia competing for victory. The team, a mix of seasoned campaigners and young talents, is focused on enhancing its performance.

Leading the Indian team is Hardik Singh, a two-time Olympic bronze medalist, who will serve as the captain for the Hobart leg. Notable inclusions in the squad are promising youngsters like Amandeep Lakra and Manmeet Singh, who made their senior team debut in the previous Rourkela leg. However, Harmanpreet Singh will be absent from the squad due to personal reasons.

The squad features Suraj Karkera and Mohith Honnenahalli Shashikumar as goalkeepers. The defensive lineup comprises experienced players such as Amit Rohidas, Jarmanpreet Singh, Jugraj Singh, Sanjay, and Sumit, along with young talents like Amandeep Lakra, Yashdeep Siwach, and Poovanna Chandura Boby.

In the midfield, captain Hardik Singh, Sanjay, Vivek Sagar Prasad, and Raj Kumar Pal will take charge, supported by players like Rajinder Singh, Manmeet Singh, Moirangthem Rabichandra Singh, and Vishnu Kant Singh. The forward line will be led by established names including Mandeep Singh, Abhishek, and Shilanand Lakra, with the return of Maninder Singh and the addition of emerging talents Araijeet Singh Hundal and Aditya Arjun Lalage.

The Hobart leg of the FIH Men’s Pro League 2025–26 is crucial for India as they gear up for the Men’s FIH Hockey World Cup and Asian Games later this year. Chief coach Craig Fulton expressed optimism, stating that the team has learned from past matches and is aiming for improved performances in Hobart to finalize the squad for upcoming major events.
