Several human rights organizations strongly criticized the enforced disappearance of six civilians, including women and children, by Pakistani forces in Balochistan. The Baloch National Movement’s Human Rights Department reported that Pakistani Frontier Corps personnel, along with masked individuals, took the individuals into custody during a raid in Mastung district on July 21. The victims, including women and children, have been missing since then, with no official information provided to their family.

The victims were identified as Bibi Rafia, her three young children, her brother Muhammad Arif, and her niece Bibi Nida. Paank emphasized that enforced disappearance violates international human rights law, leaving detainees vulnerable to torture and ill-treatment. Expressing concern over the targeting of Baloch women, the Baloch Voice for Justice urged global human rights bodies to intervene and ensure the safety of the disappeared persons.

Baloch Yakjehti Committee member Sammi Deen Baloch highlighted the frequent violence in Balochistan, where people face daily burials. She pointed out that the violence spares no one, not even judges, in the province. Sammi criticized the government’s narrative of restored order, citing ongoing crackdowns on activism and dissent. She emphasized the government’s failure to protect its citizens amidst rising insecurity in Balochistan.
