Hyderabad Police Commissioner V. C. Sajjanar announced elaborate arrangements for the upcoming Hanuman Jayanti yatra on April 2 to ensure a peaceful event. Approximately 168 processions are expected to join the main yatra, with nearly 3,000 police personnel and additional armed forces deployed for security at key locations. Organizers have been instructed to train volunteers, manage crowds effectively, and stick to designated routes.
Special attention has been given to idol heights due to flyovers and railway bridges along the route, with a call for vigilance from organizers and participants to report any suspicious activities promptly. Traffic diversions will be in place in advance to reduce public inconvenience, and citizens are urged to follow police instructions. Moreover, the public is warned against spreading rumors on social media, with strict actions planned against those sharing provocative content.
The Police Commissioner inspected the 12-kilometer yatra route from Gowliguda Ram Mandir to Tadbund Hanuman Temple after a coordination meeting with officials and organizers. He expressed confidence in the peaceful conduct of the Hanuman Jayanti yatra, citing the successful celebration of Ram Navami a few days prior. Additionally, the Cyber Crime Unit of Hyderabad City Police made significant progress in combating illegal online betting, gaming promotions, and fake investment schemes during March.
