The International Cricket Council (ICC) has revealed the umpire and referee panels for the upcoming semifinals of the ICC U19 Men’s Cricket World Cup 2026. In the first semifinal clash between Australia and England, Zahid Bassarath and Virender Sharma will officiate as on-field umpires. Bassarath recently oversaw England’s victory against New Zealand, while Sharma was in charge during Australia’s triumphs over Japan and Sri Lanka.
Lubabalo Gcuma will serve as the third umpire, and Prageeth Rambukwella will be the fourth umpire for the first semifinal. Prakash Bhatt has been appointed as the match referee. Moving on to the second semifinal between India and Afghanistan in Harare on February 4, Shaun Haig and Russell Warren will take on-field duties. Haig supervised Afghanistan’s wins over South Africa and the West Indies, while Warren officiated during India’s matches against the USA and Bangladesh.
Shawn Craig will act as the third umpire, with Masudur Mukul named as the fourth umpire for the India-Afghanistan clash. Graeme La Brooy has been designated as the match referee for this encounter.
