Ice Hockey League Season 3: Purig Warriors and Changthang Shans Secure Semi-Final Spots

Purig Warriors and Changthang Shans advanced to the semi-finals of the Ice Hockey League Season 3 at Nawang Dorjay Stobdan (NDS) Stadium in Leh. The day saw Kangs Sing and Purig Warriors clinch clean-sheet victories, Kharu Falcons secure a last-minute win, and Changthang Shans triumph in their final league-stage match.

Kharu Falcons started the day with a narrow 6-5 win over Zanskar Chadar Tamers, led by Jigmat Choster’s impressive five-goal performance. The game witnessed back-and-forth action with late goals deciding the outcome.

Kangs Sing dominated United Nubra with a commanding 6-0 victory, showcasing early goals and solid control throughout the match. The team displayed a strong offensive performance to secure the win.

Purig Warriors emerged victorious with a 2-0 win against Sham Wolves, breaking the deadlock in the second period and sealing their spot in the semi-finals. Anwar Hussain and Villayat Ali were instrumental in securing the crucial win.

Changthang Shans confirmed their semi-final berth with an emphatic 8-2 win over Maryul Spawo. The team displayed a clinical performance with multiple players contributing to the victory.

Humas Warriors concluded the day with a dominant 7-1 win over Shakar Chiktan Royals, showcasing a strong comeback after an early setback. The win solidified their position in the league standings.

The top four teams, including Humas Warriors, Kangs Sing, Purig Warriors, and Changthang Shans, secured their spots in the semi-finals. The league stage concluded with teams positioning for the upcoming knockout rounds.
