For years, families in Chhattisgarh’s Mohla-Manpur faced fear and displacement due to Maoist violence. However, the situation is now changing positively. Security operations and government rehabilitation schemes have made a visible impact on the ground.
Previously, many families had to flee sensitive villages after Maoists targeted and killed family members. But now, out of 84 affected families, 26 have received houses under schemes like Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. Victims like Ram Bai Mandavi and Aghan Singh have shared their stories of loss and now hope as they return to their villages with new homes.
Ramita Bai, another victim, recounted her harrowing experience of being taken by Naxals. With efforts like providing free housing and medical facilities, the region is witnessing a decline in Maoist activities. The once fearful atmosphere is transforming into one of hope and security, with families rebuilding their lives and homes.
