Wang Yi highlighted the significance of China and India setting an example for solidarity and self-reliance among Global South nations.
During the meeting, China’s Ambassador to India, Xu Feihong, emphasized the importance of China and India’s cooperation in promoting solidarity and self-reliance among Global South countries. He reiterated China’s support for India’s role as the BRICS rotating chair and expressed willingness to work together to advance BRICS cooperation. In another development, Wang Yi met with National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval during the BRICS National Security Advisors Meeting in New Delhi. The discussions focused on reviewing recent bilateral relations and acknowledging the progress made towards normalization.
