India won the toss and decided to bat first in the second ODI against Australia at the Bellerive Oval. The series is currently tied at 4-4 following Australia’s victory in the first ODI in Brisbane. India made some changes, resting Shafali Verma and Renuka Singh Thakur, while including Amanjot Kaur and giving Vaishnavi Sharma her ODI debut to strengthen their bowling lineup.

Captain Harmanpreet Kaur, who won her fifth consecutive toss in ODIs, is back on the field after missing the entire fielding innings in Brisbane due to a left knee issue. Australia also made a change, bringing in Nicola Carey for Sophie Molineux, who is out of the series due to a lower back injury.

Sophie Molineux’s injury is a concern for Australia, especially as she is expected to lead the team in the West Indies. Alyssa Healy, Australia’s skipper, is hopeful that the conditions, with a bit of live grass on the pitch, will favor their bowling. The playing XIs for both teams have been finalized for the match.
