India’s success at the recent ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 has propelled their batters to the top of the rankings. Abhishek Sharma maintains his lead as the top T20I batter after his impressive performance in the final match against the Black Caps.
Ishan Kishan has climbed to the second position in the rankings, trailing Abhishek by just four rating points. Additionally, Indian players Sanju Samson and Shivam Dube have also advanced in the batting rankings due to their notable contributions during the tournament.
The rankings also saw movements from other players, with New Zealand’s Tim Seifert rising to sixth place and England’s Jacob Bethell reaching 16th position. Finn Allen of New Zealand, who set a record for the fastest century in the T20 World Cup, moved up to 20th place in the rankings.
In the bowling department, there was a change at the top as Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan overtook India’s Varun Chakravarthy to claim the number one spot. Chakravarthy now ranks second, with England’s Adil Rashid moving up to fourth place.
India’s Jasprit Bumrah secured the sixth position among T20I bowlers, while Axar Patel climbed to 17th place. In the all-rounders category, Zimbabwe’s Sikandar Raza and India’s Hardik Pandya lead the rankings with new career-high ratings.
New Zealand’s captain also saw an improvement in his ranking, moving to ninth place among T20I all-rounders. England’s Will Jacks made gains, reaching the 13th spot following his impressive performances at the T20 World Cup.
