The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted continued wet weather in Delhi-NCR over the next five days. Initially, light rainfall is expected, followed by moderate showers mid-week. A yellow alert has been issued for parts of the National Capital Region due to the possibility of heavy rain, thunderstorms, and lightning.
Delhi experienced scattered rainfall between Friday night and Saturday, with light showers continuing throughout Saturday. This rainfall provided relief from humid conditions and is anticipated to persist in the upcoming days. The IMD forecasts very light to light rainfall for Sunday and Monday in Delhi, with weather activity intensifying from Tuesday onwards, prompting a yellow alert for Tuesday and Wednesday.
Neighboring Noida is expected to have calm weather on July 26, with partly cloudy skies and no significant rainfall. However, rain activity is likely to increase from July 27, with one or two spells of rain or thundershowers expected. Generally cloudy conditions are predicted for Noida on July 28 and July 29, with intermittent rain or thundershowers. A yellow alert has been issued for these two days.
Gurugram is also expected to have unsettled weather over the next five days. On July 26, the city may witness partly cloudy skies with occasional rain or thundershowers. Similar conditions are expected on July 27 and July 28, with brief spells of rainfall likely. The weather pattern is anticipated to continue on July 29 and July 30, with intermittent rain and partly cloudy skies.
Ghaziabad is forecast to remain partly cloudy on July 26, with light rain or thundershowers expected from July 27 onwards. Generally cloudy skies are predicted for July 28 and July 29, with one or two spells of rain or thundershowers. A yellow alert has been issued for these two days. On July 30, the city is expected to have cloudy weather with occasional showers.
The IMD has advised residents in Delhi-NCR to stay alert during heavy rainfall and thunderstorms, as waterlogging, traffic congestion, and reduced visibility may impact daily activities.
