The India Open 2026 is scheduled to take place from January 13 to 18 at the prestigious Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium in New Delhi, with a seating capacity of over 8,000, double that of the previous venue. Organized by the Badminton Association of India (BAI) as a Super 750 tournament under the Badminton World Federation (BWF), the event will showcase top international badminton players.

Renowned shuttlers like An Se-young, PV Sindhu, Kunlavut Vitidsarn, and others, including emerging Indian talents, are expected to compete over six days of intense matches. Sanjay Mishra, the general secretary of BAI, emphasized the significance of moving the tournament to a larger venue, aiming to enhance the experience for both players and spectators. The India Open is a crucial event on the BWF World Tour, offering substantial ranking points and a prize purse of USD 950,000.

Tickets for the India Open 2026 will be available online, with prices starting at Rs. 400 and premium seats at Rs. 1,750. Different ticket categories are offered, with discounts during the initial phase until December end. Subsequent phases in January will continue to provide affordable ticket options for spectators throughout the tournament.
