India dismissed Pakistan’s accusations regarding a recent attack on security forces in Karachi as unfounded. The Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson, Randhir Jaiswal, urged Pakistan to address its internal issues and combat terrorism on its soil instead of blaming others. The statement was in response to Pakistan’s claims that terrorists supported by India were responsible for the attack on the Pakistan Rangers Camp in Karachi.
The attack resulted in the death of three Sindh Rangers personnel at a facility in Karachi’s Gulistan-i-Jauhar. Following a loud blast, intense firing was reported near Meteorological Chowrangi on University Road. Inspector General Javed Alam Odho mentioned that the terrorists breached the main gate with a vehicle, and three attackers were killed during the assault on the local Rangers headquarters.
In a previous incident in March, India criticized Pakistan for its long-standing support of terrorism and lack of credibility in cross-border conflicts. The MEA spokesperson emphasized that Pakistan’s habit of blaming India for its actions is baseless. Pakistan had accused India of involvement in the conflict between Pakistan and Afghanistan, to which India responded by highlighting Pakistan’s history of sponsoring terrorism.
