India has experienced significant advancements in economic, social, and infrastructure domains under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 12-year tenure, as per Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Director General Chandrajit Banerjee. Banerjee commended PM Modi for leading the country towards becoming a prominent global economy and a confident international voice. He praised the government’s focus on reforms, efficient governance, and inclusive growth, which have bolstered India’s economic resilience and competitiveness, benefiting businesses and citizens alike.
Banerjee highlighted India’s achievements in inclusive economic development, infrastructure expansion, innovation, entrepreneurship, and social progress over the past decade. He emphasized that the development benefits have reached a wider spectrum of society, fostering stronger and more inclusive growth. The CII Director General also mentioned that the Indian industry has thrived in a conducive business environment characterized by growing investor confidence, sustained economic growth, and a strong emphasis on innovation and self-reliance.
Looking forward, Banerjee expressed the industry’s commitment to collaborating with the government to realize the vision of Viksit Bharat by 2047. He affirmed that the industry will continue to support sustainable development, foster innovation, create employment opportunities, and shape a resilient economy in partnership with the government. Prime Minister Modi recently became India’s longest-serving Prime Minister, surpassing Jawaharlal Nehru’s record in office, marking 4,399 days. Union ministers have lauded this milestone as a testament to public trust in Modi’s leadership, highlighting the government’s reform, welfare, and development initiatives over the past 12 years.
