In the men’s division, Vishvanath Suresh dominated Jordan’s Huthaifa Eshish with a unanimous 5:0 win in the 50kg category to progress to the final. Similarly, Sachin showcased his skills with a 4:1 win over Thailand’s Sakda Ruamtham in the 60kg semifinal.
Despite some losses, India remains hopeful as they aim to convert these strong performances into gold medals in the upcoming finals. Minakshi will face Mongolia’s Nomundari Enkh-Amgalan in the women’s 48kg final, while Jaismine will take on Thailand’s Punrawee Ruenros in the 57kg title clash.
In other key finals, Indian boxers like Preeti, Priya, and Arundhati Choudhary are set to compete against opponents from Chinese Taipei, North Korea, and Kazakhstan, respectively. With a total of eight finalists, India heads into the final day of the championships with strong momentum.
