India’s Shiva Narwal clinched the silver medal in the 10m Air Pistol Men Junior event, while Yug Pratap Singh Rathore secured the bronze, leading to a double podium finish at the ISSF Junior World Championship 2026 in Suhl, Germany. The Indian team also claimed a silver in the 10m Air Pistol Men Junior Team event, with shooters Shiva Narwal, Sandeep Bishnoi, and Chirag Sharma combining for a strong performance.
With these achievements, India’s medal tally now stands at 15, including 5 Gold, 3 Silver, and 7 Bronze medals. The Indian contingent continues to dominate the medal standings, showcasing consistency and prowess in both individual and team events at the championship. Earlier, India added four more medals to their count, further solidifying their lead.
Pritam Kendre of India secured the gold medal in the 10m Air Rifle Men Junior event with an exceptional performance, marking India’s fifth gold medal at the championship. Additionally, India clinched a bronze in the 25m Pistol Women Junior Team event, and another bronze in the 25m Pistol Men Junior Team event, displaying strong team performances.
India’s Sameer emerged victorious with the gold medal in the 25m Rapid Fire Pistol Men Junior event, showcasing skill and precision with 28 hits in the final. Rohit Kanyan excelled in the 50m Rifle 3 Positions Men Junior event, securing the gold medal. Prachi Gaikwad added a silver medal to India’s tally by finishing as the runner-up in the 50m Rifle 3 Positions Women Junior event with a score of 354.7.
