The India U17 women’s team is set to play three friendly matches against Russia in Sochi on April 11, 14, and 17, 2026. Head coach Pamela Conti has finalized a 23-player squad for these upcoming games. All matches will take place at the Matsesta Football Centre in Sochi, starting at 14:30 IST.

The Young Tigresses, gearing up for the AFC U17 Women’s Asian Cup China 2026, have recently arrived in Sochi after a successful stint in Yangon, where they won both friendly matches against the hosts. Following their return, Conti’s team resumed their training camp in Bengaluru to further hone their skills.

In a recent friendly against Myanmar, the Indian team secured a convincing 2–0 victory. Pritika Barman shone with two well-timed goals, showcasing a strong offensive display. India’s defense, led by Abhista Basnett and Elizabed Lakra, along with goalkeeper Munni’s clean sheet, ensured a solid performance.

After a competitive first half, India dominated the second half of the match, displaying control over possession and tempo. Despite narrowly missing a third goal by hitting the crossbar, the team comfortably sealed the victory. Looking ahead, India is scheduled to face Australia, Japan, and Lebanon in Group B at the upcoming Asian Cup in Suzhou.
