Bihar BJP State President, Sanjay Saraogi, hailed the India-US Interim Trade Agreement as a significant step forward in strengthening bilateral ties. Saraogi emphasized that the agreement would enhance trade, investment, technology, and supply chains, aligning with India’s development goals. The deal not only focuses on trade but also aims to elevate the strategic and economic partnership between India and the United States.

The announcement of a framework for the Interim Agreement between the US and India has been met with positive reactions. The White House confirmed a reduction in tariffs on Indian imports from 25% to 18%, providing immediate relief to Indian exporters and industries. This move is part of the broader efforts to pave the way for a comprehensive bilateral trade pact between the two nations.

The joint statement issued by both countries underscores their commitment to negotiating a US-India Bilateral Trade Agreement. The interim arrangement, initiated following discussions between President Donald Trump and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is designed to yield early benefits while promoting resilient and diversified supply chains. The agreement is seen as a significant milestone in the partnership between the US and India, emphasizing mutual interests and tangible outcomes.

President Trump’s recent discussions with Prime Minister Modi highlighted the progress towards a trade deal between the two countries. The focus remains on reciprocity, expanded market access, and addressing trade imbalances, underscoring the strategic importance of economic relations with India. The proposed framework includes plans for India to reduce or eliminate tariffs on various US industrial goods and agricultural products, fostering greater trade cooperation.
