Vanshika Chaudhary and Shiva Narwal formed the winning Indian pair, showcasing a composed performance to clinch the silver medal. This achievement brought India’s total medal count to 16, including 5 gold, 4 silver, and 7 bronze medals.
The Indian contingent continues to lead the medal standings, demonstrating consistent and strong performances across various events at the championship. Shiva Narwal had earlier secured a silver medal in the 10m Air Pistol Men Junior event, while Yug Pratap Singh Rathore claimed the bronze in the same category, ensuring a double podium finish for India. Additionally, India added another silver medal in the 10m Air Pistol Men Junior Team event, with Shiva Narwal, Sandeep Bishnoi, and Chirag Sharma combining efforts for a podium finish.
With these recent achievements, India’s total medal count now stands at 15, comprising 5 gold, 3 silver, and 7 bronze medals. The Indian team’s dominance and consistency across individual and team events at the ISSF Junior World Championship 2026 are evident through these performances. Pritam Kendre further boosted India’s campaign by clinching the gold medal in the 10m Air Rifle Men Junior event, marking the country’s fifth gold medal in the championship.
