India’s Ambassador to China, Vikram Doraiswami, shared a video message for pilgrims preparing for the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra (KMY). The Ministry of External Affairs, in collaboration with the Chinese government, is organizing the yatra departing from India on June 20. Ambassador Doraiswami and his team inspected key points along the yatra routes to ensure all arrangements are in place.
The pilgrims will be greeted by Chinese Customs and immigration officials at the Nathula Pass entrance before being transported to Yadong County. The Ambassador provided details on travel times, food facilities, and currency exchange in the video message. More videos on the yatra route will be released for the pilgrims’ benefit.
Ambassador Doraiswami recently visited Lhasa, the capital of Tibet, to assess the preparations for Indian pilgrims. Minister of State for External Affairs, Pabitra Margherita, flagged off the first batch of pilgrims for the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra 2026 in New Delhi.
